Here is a book on that tricky business of being a boss.
When I hear directors talk, the number one fear is that job of a manager, trying to manage that difficult employee. I think Directors are more afraid of correcting, disciplining that one teacher than of anything else. More so than other managers. Why? I think because, being nurturers, directors are more invested than others in being caring and … being liked. So they fear the boss roll.
If they neglect it, though, what grows in that space is ugly.
So, try out this book, although written for the person transitioning from line to boss, I think this may be helpful. Let me know.
