A local television station broke the news about lax policies at drop-in babysitting stations in California. As a result, their state licensing agency grapples with enforcement.
Well, we in Texas are ahead of them there, aren’t we? Our drop-in facilities are covered under the same requirements as are all of our licensed centers. They offer an important service. I imagine often parents come to these centers in times of emergency. Therefore, I admire those who start and run them; it must be a challenge. A shout of love out to Kid-E-Shack, whom I met yesterday.
