Television Viewing

It’s hot. It’s easy to park children in front of the television. What are some better alternatives?
Books! Do more outside earlier! Splash! Make some popsicles from fruit juice. Build a spaceship from a refrigerator box. Do a new craft: check your local crafter store — and even your local big box hardware store. Plant something. Eat watermelon. Even well chosen videos? Is the computer a better or worse choice?
How about asking the children? After all, most generations amused themselves.
What are your ideas?
